From a childhood in cattle trucks  and Australian outback rodeos  to a national and international career  in the arts, media and entertainment industries,  Duncan has become an experienced and accomplished artist, director, producer, writer, designer and educator. He has worked in Australia, Asia as well as  North and South America. He is currently living  in Mexico and begun freelancing again after 18 months as the Senior Producer for a  media and events company creating documentary series, short films, pilots and online content. 

Duncan has produced, written, directed and produced original media content, films, documentary series, live touring theatre, events, community cultural development projects and more. He has created shows, festivals, cabaret, arts and community festivals, street theatre, stage managed large touring musicals and worked with artists across most major art forms. His work has been nationally and internationally selected and awarded across various platforms including the Cannes International Film Festival .

 In 2019 he directed the immersive theatre element of the ´Launch of Game Of Thrones´ which won a Golden‌ ‌Lion‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌Cannes‌ ‌Industry‌ ‌Craft‌ ‌Lions. Duncan also production designed a film that was selected for Cannes International Film Festival in 2001.

He founded the production company Mongrel Mouth in 2014. Video, images and details available at www.mongrelmouth.com.  Here he produced, directed and co wrote critically acclaimed productions of immersive theatre in site specific locations across Australia.

 

Duncan has the privileged of working and collaborating with a vast amount of creatives in television, musicals,  opera, theatre, arts festivals, galleries, education,  film and media, government arts and peak bodies, refugees and survivors of political torture,  prisoners, community  cultural  development groups and organisations  and independent entertainment creators.
